Easter pictures

Easter weekend was kinda bust at our house. I thought it was going to be the perfect weekend (since it is my favorite holiday) but it was just ok. We took Emma to a bluebonnet field and in my head i was going to have the cutest pictures EVER!!! Well it started like this. Ok she is smiling, but the wind is blowing and she is more involved with the flowers then with looking at me. So i tried to reposition myself on the ground so i would be closer to her.....

.....but while i was moving, the wind blow a flower and it touched her foot. So now she is afraid of the flowers. And the next two pictures are the best that i got. I am going to try again this week and we will see what happens.

As afraid as she is of the flowers, she was all to excited to play with the lady bugs.

Then Easter Sunday she missed her morning nap. She wasnt as bad as i thought she would be, but she was not about to just sit and let her mama take a picture. So, I figured that any picture in her dress would be ok, It turned out ok. (Warning, this dress is probably going to be used for her 1 year pictures, since i didnt get the cute easter picture i wanted.)

Our Adventures

I am off this week and I am determined to get things done. The most important on my list is the yard. It has been a thorn in my side since we moved in, and between work and the weather it has taken me almost 5 months to finish it. (pictures to come dont worry)

I am finally to the point of putting mulch down but i ran out. So yesturday when i had sterling to help me, i thought i had the perfect day planned. When Emma woke up from her morning nap we would go to Home Depot, get the rest of the mulch and then go down the highway to Costco and get what we needed from there and then home. We have a pretty big truck and i figured hey, we will load the back up with the mulch and then put the costco stuff on the floor inbetween the front seat and the bench. Ok well they have a car seat on sale at costco and so we decided to get it along with all of our other things that ended up being more then expected.

I would like to call these pictures: "Where's Emma????"

As you can see we really needed the car seat, Emma has seriously out grown the carrier and she is only 11 months old (today by the way).
So in doing all my yard work i ended up giving Emma her Easter present a little early. I needed to put her somewhere to do yard work and she ABSOLUTELY loves this wagon.

So much has happened

So here is our life in pictures this past week:

TUESDAY Morning Sterling was home and Emma was sooooooooo happy. But daddy was outside and forgot to take his hat off when he came inside, so she attacked him like she always does.

(Sorry this picture is sideways-i am not sure what happened and it is way to late to spend time fixing it. ) Emma thinks she looks better in hats then her daddy.

Daddy leaves for work and in flies the ducks. They literally just swam around for 2 hours. Then Emma started banging on the window and they flew away.
WEDNESDAY-morning Sterling had to hurry and mow the lawn and Emma followed him from window to window around the house.
SUNDAY- oh what a great day it was. My mom just went to New York and got me this AMAZING purse, I love the color and I love how big it is. Sterling is proving how big the purse is by putting our 21 pound 29 inch long child in the purse. Hey in my eyes....throw in my wallet, cell phone, a few diapers, some wipes and since the kid is already packed in and ready go it is now the worlds perfect purse!!!

Emma has become such an entertainer lately. She loves to talk and dance and she does so many faces, so i thought i would capture a few. Dont mind my head, but FINALLY we have a picture of the top teeth.
And finally I feel like i captured her smiles that just melt my heart.

Emma at GG's

So for those of you that dont know we call my mom GG (Grandma Gunn). She just loves Emma to death, and I am pretty sure that she has probably told a stranger that this child is hers and not her grand baby. That is how obsessed she is. (she even sends Emma text messages)

On of my moms favorite things to do is to have Emma play on the piano. She thinks that if she lets Emma play it now that she will want to play it later, since all of her own girls HATED playing the piano. (I am hoping that Emma gets bored of the piano by the age of umm....2 and NEVER wants to play)
I just saw all of these pictures on my moms camera last night so i hurried to down load them but most of them are a few weeks old. GG gets to babysite Emma while Sterling goes to class and GG gives Sterling a VERY VERY VERY hard time for how she is dressed (mostly that she is not dressed warm enough) so one night when it was really really cold here this is what she looked like. (She has gloves on also, but still no coat)
Abbie lives at GG's house. But Emma LOVES Abbie and even follows her around the house saying "Ab...Ab....Ab" GG believes that Emma is going to say Abbie any day now.

Abbie does love Emma back. Know that Emma can crawl Abbie loves to get Emma to chase her. So Abbie gives her a little nudge and takes off, but the first couple of times it shocks Emma and she gets a little scared. I am sure this way funnier to my family members, but i hope you all enjoy.

The longest blog ever!!!!

So I had to stay up tonight and post some pictures before certain family member attack me. (Plus it has almost been a WHOLE month...where does the time go????)

For christmas we went to Las Vegas to be with Sterlings family and had a picture taken of the whole family. Emma in her christmas outfit. (she is a present....see the bow on her head)
So since we have been home, Emma has grown by leap and bounds. She is currently 8 1/2 months old (i just thought the other night I still cant believe i have a child). She loves to go for rides on her daddy...and she has a serious obsession with his hat.

She did officially get her two bottom front teet (christmas week while we are on vacation...wasnt so bad though). I literally tried everyday for about 3 weeks to get a picture of the teeth. So finally i decided to be a horrible parent! I just held her down and held her lips apart so that my sister could take a picture. I just love the horror in my childs eyes.

Emma has gone through various stages of moving around. she loved to get under th coffee table, so we just moved it. I just really love this picture, it shows her great smile

Emma has also learned that she can pull up on us and then let go. She is completly afraid of falling but she loves to stand up by herself.

For those family memebers that know the crazy living/sleeping arrangements we have had with this child you will be glad to know that Emma is sleeping in her own bed in her own room. And since she has learned to crawl and sit up all byherself we find her in very weird sleeping positions. This is the screaming child position i got to wake up to the other morning.

And finally proof that she can crawl!!! (this is the most stubborn/spoiled child around) She has been able to crawl for a few weeks, but she wouldnt because ...... there was not point. she knew if she just sat there and screamed loud enough one of the three adults in the house would come pick her up. trust me...we know we are going to dread the teenage years.

All I want for Christmas is...
