Emma's 1st birthday

(I am very sorry to Nana that these took a week to post)

Emma's friends that came to celebrate her birthday with her. Of all the toys at my house everyone loves this little ball popper, what cracks me up is that Emma NEVER plays with it on her own. Then we sang happy birthday, but there are no pictures of her destroying cake, because she got a little freaked out. Birthday cake, not a hit at my house (it was fine by me and sterling because then we got to eat all the cupcakes). We did try to give her another cupcake later without a candle and she still wanted nothing to do with it. Then we opened presents. Emma didnt really want to help me open her presents, she wanted to play with her GiGi or her friends. I am just glad that someone took this cute pictures with my camera (thank you to however it was). Its about all i have from her birthday that represents birthday.

After her bottle and nap, she woke up a very happy baby so we got her presents out again and let her play with them. I put on this adorable apron that Gray's mom made and she loved it. She walked around the house with it on for about an hour. Even now she brings it to me and tries to put it on. (she is become such a girl lately)

The next day after church I thought this was such a cute picture of her playing with her new toys all at once.

Thanks to everyone for making Emma's birthday sooo much fun. Be waiting for more pictures. We had her 1 yr pictures taking a few days ago and they are SOOOO cute!!!!

Butterflies

At one of the malls, was a butterfly exhibit and my mom was dying to take Emma. I figured she was fascinated with ladybugs so we would see how she did with butterflies.

It was in a tent (like the size of a 12 man tent) and their were close to 200 butterflies just hanging out on the ceiling, walls, the potted flowers. Most of them were monarch butterflies...

But a few were obino butterflies and they loved Emma's bow. they landed on it the second we walked in and we had to take them off of her when we left.
Emma had to touch every single butterfly that she saw. and she would get soooo excited when she did. i just wish i had caught the look on her face.
i thought the whole thing was just amazing. Emma loved it and i hope she did not cause any major heart attacks among the butterflies that she caught in her cute little hands.

Life as I know it....

.....IS OVER!!!!!!!!! She walks!!! She has been walking for about a week now. But i am usually on the receiving end of the Emma, so it is really hard to catch it on film. So for our Sat. night activity....catch emma walking on film.
